I'll be the first to admit I've been on a bit of an extended shopping spree lately, although, by spree I mean three new things. The shirt: not neccessary, but the pants and shoes: very much needed.

I only brought two pairs of jeans to Sweden with me, and since they're pretty much what I wear every day, both of them have undergone extensive amounts of mending (which in each case, has ultimately failed). My only salvage option was to add another pair to the rotation, and to be honest, when I found some that actually fitted and weren't super super incredibly super skinny, I bought, I didn't question.

The shoe situation was also dire, but I suppose it makes sense that the cardboard cutouts I made from bits of envelope to stop my skin rubbing the ground through the split in the sole could only hold out so long.
