Some nights, while I'm lying awake debating the various pros and cons of being alone and single forever to the music of drunk couples arguing outside the Coogee Bay Hotel, I imagine the things I will do when I finally graduate and have a job with a salary, rather than an hourly rate.

While obviously, these imaginings involve the purchase of a scooter (sky blue, old-styled Vespa with round mirrors, not square) and acquisition of a puppy, they also include the pretty things I will buy for myself in the absence of a rich husband (see above "debated pros and cons").
