Health mix from nut city...

Today I bought a baggie of 'health mix'. Like trail mix but better, because it's not that healthy. Nom nom, it was frigging delicious. It was full of sunflower seeds, dried cranberries, almonds, raisins, and raw cashews. I think I ate too much for it really to count as 'health mix'.
So anyway, after I ate my baggie of 'health mix', which allegedly contained 3 servings, though I don't believe that for a second, I decided that since it actually only has 5 ingredients, it would be a good idea to make my own, rather than pay $780 for three servings at the organic supermarket next to work. This afternoon I was talking with a co-worker about how I planned to make some
I discussed my plan with a co-worker. Our conversation was as follows:
Ellie: "Nom nom, this stuff is frigging delicious, I think I ate the whole thing."
Co-worker: "Hhmmn"
Ellie: "No seriously, I'm going to make some of this when I get home. I'll stock up on seeds and nuts on my way home and make a batch. Mrrrrhghihnahg delicious!"
Co-worker: "Where are ya gonna get them from? Nut City?"
Ellie (wide-eyed): "Oooh, where is Nut City??" [I thought I had hit the jackpot]
Co-worker: "I have no idea. I made it up because ...I figured they have shops like that in Marrickville."
Ohh, Nut City is in tongue-in-cheek. Sigh. I kept to myself, at that moment, the fact that there is a shop called "Super Nut and Coffee Warehouse," or something else stupid like that.
This evening I started making my delicious mix. I souped it up a bit... more cranberries, and perhaps.. some chocolate bullets... And I dry roasted the nuts rather than leaving them raw. In a moment of foresight and self-restraint, I actually measured out my portion for tomorrow!
Also, I made some muesli with the same ingredients, minus chocolate bullets & craisins, plus rolled spelt, rolled oats, and sliced dried apricots. Perhaps I am becoming a donkey. It remains to be seen.
All was well until I noticed the purveyor of the apricots.
I think I'll go to bed now.
